"Every spiritual feeling, every mystical insight, every creative experience, comes from the collective unconscious. Whether there is a God that lies beyond that experience is a metaphysical question that we each have to answer at some time in our life. But there is no denying the numinous quality of our experience of the collective unconscious.

Numinous is a word coined by the theologian Rudolph Otto, from the latin 'numen', meaning creative energy or divine will. Otto wanted a word that expressed the feeling of awe and mystery that we all experience at various times in our lives. Regardless of our religious convictions, we invariably experience the collective unconscious as numinous. It might be numinous and frightening, numinous and nurturing, numinous and abstract, but always numinous. That is a sure sign that we are dealing with a more than human aspect of reality."

Nowhere are the stakes higher in the Floor is Lava game than when you have to get wet clothes from the washer to the dryer in a crowded laundromat.
